An expanding company that leads the global online and mobile gambling software and games industry is seeking to employ multiple Software Developers who will be based in Bristol. You will join a very talented team that is growing fast. This company’s customers are the largest bookmakers in the world and you would be working on the UK and global systems that support around 70% of the industry. The work you do will help their software products handle more transactions on busy days like Grand National Day than Amazon on Black Friday! The company offers ongoing training and support including real career potential as most Managers and Lead Developers were promoted from internal teams. They are growing fast and are already the market leaders in what they do, and they already have most of the market with a 70% share. With over 8000 staff worldwide. You will work in a specialist team on key software projects that are critical to the business and its customers operations. Your own reach may mean that you communicate with customer and colleagues who are all over the world. As a Software Developer, your duties will be to: Work as a self-organising scrum team to develop new features and functionality for high transaction websites.Practice test drive development to produce polished code.
Design solutions that are modular, scalable, extendable, and portable.
Work with customers to extract requirements.
Work with various international teams.
Contribute new ideas and work with other team members to improve products and systems. To be a successful Software Developer you will have the following skills and experience: Commercial software development experience using at least one major programming language including but limited to Python, PHP, Java, JEE, J2EE, C, C++, Net.
A willingness to learn new languages.
Strong fundamental programming skills, data structures and algorithms.
RDBMS database experience. In return, the Developer will receive a salary of £28000 - £33000 per annum plus many benefits.
