Job Description

The Senior Information Security Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of the IT&S Security Program for HCA by providing level 1 and 2 support and/or triage for all IT security issues. Also the role will administer IT security access to a large complex of computer systems and applications, monitors automated security tools, and distributes management reports to ensure system and data integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinates and monitors IT security activities throughout the organization, including the preparation of periodic status and progress reports.

Communicates through written documentation and voice mail with other support representatives, ideas and system solutions as they are identified to be applicable to the customer base.

Increases the productivity of the problem resolution process by accurately communicating problem symptoms, leading the development of the problem resolution plan.

Identifies opportunities to reduce incoming call volumes (i.e. missing documentation, improved documentation, recurring problem identification), improve departmental efficiency, and develops solutions and coordinates solution implementation.

Investigates alleged IT security breaches and, if necessary, assists with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches.

Assists in development of remediation plan to address identified deficiencies in response to audit findings internal and external.

Skills and Experience

Strong IT / Systems and Networking background (Including Virtual Environments).

Functional knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, LAN/WAN technologies, switching, routing, VoIP and telephony technologies, firewalls and VPN, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), vulnerability assessment and patch management tools.

Knowledge of targeted cyber-attack (Advanced Persistent Threat), how to analyse these and respond to and mitigate against the attacks.
