The Opportunity

You have the opportunity to be a key figure in an industry transformation; you will be responsible for managing complex software technology projects, working with a diverse team that will change how people use transportation and mobility services. You will be an energetic and enthusiastic project manager willing to drive change and practice excellent project and agile disciplines to deliver innovative and challenging projects to enable JLRs ACES strategy: Autonomy, Connectivity, Electrification and Sharing.

Key Performance Indicators

* Delivery of projects to stakeholder's requirements utilising agile approaches. A comprehensive experience working within Agile is imperative to this role.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

* Experience leading software teams, to track and report progress of assigned work package.

* Experience and practised in the deployment of project management methodologies to software projects utilising agile approaches.

* Experience for planning, execution and delivery of the software deliverables to meet specified requirement.

* Experience of managing the assigned resources appropriately.

* Tracking/monitoring status of multiple software projects

* Experience of managing software development against the agreed process.

* Experience of effectively planning and coordinating the development activities with respect to the various dependencies.

* Ensuring and promoting quality within the development teams.

* Highly proficient communicator

Desirable:

* Agile project management qualification

* Working with global teams across time zones

* Experience of delivering change in an organisation

* Knowledge of Automotive Software

* Experience of delivering change in an organisation

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* Responsible for successful delivery of a portfolio of software projects, including guiding projects through all project phases

* Responsible for activity and resource planning

* Responsible for Aligning deliverables and milestones

* Responsible for project and portfolio risk management

* Responsible for project and portfolio change management

* Responsible for working with stakeholders to ensure all prerequisites are in place per project for the scrum to execute smoothly

* Responsible or resolving blockers to the successful delivery of software projects

* Reporting status of the portfolio to senior stakeholders

* Responsible for identification and implementation of continuous improvement actions for improved project and portfolio management for the Manchester Office
