What are we looking for?
The Software Architect is responsible for technical design of various product areas, working in our tight knit team to ensure the product vision is known and transferred into development activities.
You will be hands on, capable of coaching developers whilst illustrating and ensuring the correct software is delivered.
With a lot of new opportunities for us to explore, this is an ideal role for a creator, someone who likes to push the technology boundaries.
You will have a high aspiration for quality balanced with a good sense of pragmatism
Responsibilities:
-Identify technical needs with one eye always to the future. Scalability is key.
-Be a coder - This is a hands-on role. You will be happy to code in C++
-Break down large scale projects into manageable pieces and work with the Technical Project Manager to ensure these get cascaded through the team.
Experience of:
-Object Orientated Architecture / Design (OOA / OOD).
-Service Orientated Architecture (SOA).
-Real-time systems & multi-threading.
-All project lifecycle activities.
Familiarity with some of these:
-Design Patterns.
-Test Driven Design (TDD).
-Network Protocols (TCP/UDP).
-Web Services (e.g. REST / SOAP).
-XML (XSD, XSLT).
-Cryptography.
-.NET Framework
