Job Description

The Information Security Architect is a new role at HCA Healthcare UK which will be responsible for setting the strategy and priority of actions by the Information Security Execution Department. Reporting directly to the CISO, the role will be responsible for directing and supporting Information Governance and Security while engaging on enterprise portfolio projects while selecting new technologies to be implemented, determine the appropriate risk management activities required and their priority, as well as set the technical architecture and approach on specific projects.

This is a full time and permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary package dependent upon candidate experience. This role is based a short walk from London Bridge station and may need to occasionally travel to other central London sites.

Duties & Responsibilities

Senior technical leadership for HCA UK’s information security Project Execution Team. The architect will focus on network architecture, system integration, application development, regulatory & business risk management, and technical threat and vulnerability management.

Review, development, and approval of the security design and functionality of current and new IT projects, software products, new technologies, and network security.

Support with setting the strategic direction for HCA’s information security group.

Lead information security teams"providing direction for the Security Engineers and team members on information security and other IT&S projects.

Play a key role in developing relationships and working with vendors and other outside entities and individuals to identify promising new technologies.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience within a similar role within in the healthcare sector.

Expert knowledge of and experience with security engineering or risk management tasks, techniques and tools.

Expert knowledge of security architectural mechanisms and components and integration with IT components and operations.

Solid knowledge of applications, data centers, networks, facility operations, and business units Strong leadership in information security.

Functional knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, LAN/WAN technologies, switching, routing, VoIP and telephony technologies, firewalls and VPN, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), vulnerability assessment and patch management tools.
