We are looking for a customer focused IT engineer to join our busy team in Hathersage. The successful candidate will have a key role in our engineering team, providing both remote and onsite support to our customers based across the UK.

We are looking for a skilled engineer, with fantastic people skills and a positive, enthusiastic attitude. Professionalism, reliability and flexibility are a must for this role.

About the role

Permanent, full time position.

Hours of work: 7.00am - 4.00pm, 8.00am - 5.00pm, 10.00am - 7.00pm, alternate Saturdays

Salary:£18,000 - £21,000 (dependent on experience).

Requirements:Full UK driving license.

Working as part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting our customers on a day-today basis, resolving first and second line issues, configuring and installing new hardware and software, proactively identifying issues and diagnosing faults.

A typical day for our engineers could include resolving printing issues, configuring email accounts, building a new PC or server for a new installation, investigating a failed backup, investigating ongoing performance issues, as well as ensuring customers are kept informed and up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

- Provide an excellent service to our customers ensuring their issues are resolve in a professional, timely manner.

- Effectively prioritise and manage jobs on our busy helpdesk.

- Maintain and build good relationships with customers.

- Ensure jobs are logged correctly and updated clearly for customers to understand.

- Continued maintenance of our customers networks.

- Onsite visits.

- Contribution to team meetings with suggestions for improvements and innovative ideas.

- Ensuring any ongoing issues are escalated appropriately.

Person Specification

The right candidate will need to be self-motivated with excellent customer service skills, and take a clear logical approach to problem solving.

We provide training for our staff, including opportunities for manufacturer training with leading equipment manufacturers in the dental market. We are looking for an engineer who has experience with some of the following technologies:

- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 to 2016 and Small Business Server

- Windows 7, 8 and 10

- Networking

- Office 2010, 2013, 2016 and Office 365

- Microsoft Exchange

- Internet connectivity

- Backup systems

- Security

- Wireless networks

- IP phones
