Information Developer - Technical Writing - CMS - Multimedia Authoring - Eclipse - Version Control - Scripting - HDL - DITA Methodology - Vector Graphics - Communications - Structured Technical Content - Electronics - Processors

My client, the World's leading semiconductor IP Company are seeking an Information Developer with documentation production cycle expertise and a very good knowledge of industry standard tools and technologies such as:

* Technical writing tools

* Content management systems

* Vector graphics tools

* Multimedia authoring tools

* Version control systems

* Eclipse

* Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) methodology

This is working as part of a larger team to provide technical communication services by producing and maintaining customer-facing technical content for all electronic devices and products including documentation, user assistance and multimedia. By identifying user needs and adapting and improving content, the successful candidate will create and maintain structured technical content.

Core Duties:

* Identifying user needs, and adapting and improving content

* Creating and maintaining structured technical content adhering to Corporate and Technical Communications writing standards

* Tracking and reporting on the progress of the technical content lifecycle

* Working with the Technical Communications team lead and the content architect to implement content models and best practices

Core Skills

* Experienced information developer, with a proven track record of writing for global audiences.

* Very good understanding of the documentation production cycle.

* Very good knowledge of industry standard tools and technologies, with the ability to learn and adapt, for example:

* Technical writing tools

* Content management systems

* Vector graphics tools

* Multimedia authoring tools

* Version control systems

* Eclipse

* Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) methodology

Desirable technical skills and knowledge of some of the following:

* Familiarity with the fundamentals of basic electronics, computer architecture, and microprocessors.

* Familiarity with processors.

* Familiarity with System-on-Chip designs.

* Understanding of the interaction between software and hardware.

* Familiarity with HTML, XML, or XSLT.

* Experience of Doxygen or similar tools.

* Understanding of software engineering.

* Familiarity with Perl, Python, or a similar scripting language.

* Familiarity with Verilog, VHDL, or related HDL language
