Job Title: Virtualisation Engineer

Pay Rate: Market Rate

Contract Length: 6 Month Contract

Location: Cambridge

The Role

Spring Technology's global client based in Cambridge are looking for a Virtualisation Developer to undertake a range of activities including business analysis requirements, Data & Analytics solution design, agile project leadership, analytics, testing and importantly software engineering itself for Data & Analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

*Deliver cost effective, automated solutions to support Data & Analytics activities, for example data ETL workflows and visualisation to support ad hoc analysis requests.

*Deliver robust Data & Analytics solutions to support frequently asked business questions/analytical demands.

*Innovate and test new technologies with relevance to Data & Analytics, including POCs, assessments and business case development

Knowledge / Experience

*Experience of working with a range of BI & analytics architectures: traditional warehousing, Distributed computing (Hadoop), NoSQL, virtualization, data streaming etc.

*Hands on design, development and support for all components of the MicroStrategy product suite, including Intelligence Server, Developer, Web, Visual Insight, and OLAP Services

*5 years plus experience in D&A Engineering

*Ideally some domain knowledge (processes & data): Pharma R&D, Finance, HR, Compliance etc

*BSc / MSc in Computer Science
