IT PMO Lead

Award winning and nationally recognised client is looking for an experienced IT PMO Lead to join their IT Team at their head office in Coventry, Warwickshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership and lead the IT PMO Team, with an opportunity to build a new PMO toolkit to be used throughout the business, getting involved in business transformation and directly supporting critical initiatives to improve the delivery of successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

*Provide on-site leadership for PMO team by building and motivating team members to meet assigned project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project plans

*Provide PMO support for the full project life cycle

*Ensure all new and inflight projects follow agreed project methodologies and have appropriate governance in place that support successful delivery of projects

*Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the PMO function delivers an effective service

*Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence

*Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organisation

*Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews

*Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs

*Manage on-going quality control and participate in quality issue resolution

*Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas

*Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices

Key skills and experience required:

*Demonstrable experience of leading a PMO which is central to the success of a Solution Delivery Function; supporting programmes or portfolios of projects, particularly involving third party suppliers

*Strong background working in IT ideally at a senior level

*Proven experience of managing budgets and conducting financial analysis, accruals, burn rate and forecasting

*Proven experience of providing PMO support to portfolios / programmes across complex multiple business units

*Thorough understanding of the programme and project management practices and processes

*Experienced in impact analysis and independent risk assessment.

*Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organisations
