Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Pay Rate: up to £600 p/d (Negotiable)

Contract Length: 6 Month Contract

Location: Cambridge

The Role

Spring Technology's global client based in Cambridge are looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The role holder will deliver tangible and measurable value to stakeholders by taking a technical role in the delivery of both large and small Data & Analytics projects.

Key Responsibilities

*Deliver cost effective, automated solutions to support Data & Analytics activities, for example data ETL workflows and visualisation to support ad hoc analysis requests.

*Deliver robust Data & Analytics solutions to support frequently asked business questions/analytical demands.

*Innovate and test new technologies with relevance to Data & Analytics, including POCs, assessments and business case development

Knowledge / Experience

*Experience with & knowledge in key D&A Tools used: Talend: Use of enterprise version of Talend Software preferably in a virtualized environment like AWS

*5 years plus experience in D&A Engineering

*Experience of working with a range of BI & analytics architectures: traditional warehousing, Distributed computing (Hadoop), NoSQL, virtualization, data streaming etc.

*Experience of working with data scientists and their methods: understanding of how data needs to be prepared for use by data scientists.

*Experience of delivering D&A Solutions within IT projects delivered through Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
