Big Data Developer (6 months)
Are you a Big Data Developer who has worked on Microsoft Azure and looking to secure your next contract?
Our client has a unique opportunity for an experienced Developer a proven track record in implementing data ingestion and transformation pipelines for large-scale organisations. - lasting a minimum of 6 months with a possible extension thereafter.
Our Client, a U.K Information Services client require a UK based Big data developer in one of their many offices with deep technical skills in a variety of technologies. You will play an important role in developing and delivering proofs of concept and production implementation.
Responsibilities:
* You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to catalog & index large, highly variable data sets to enable searching based data and metadata components
* You will evaluate the performance and applicability of multiple tools against customer requirements - evaluate and recommend the best search platform and data catalog tool.
Required Skills and Competencies:
* You must have experience of building cutting-edge indexing and search capabilities using one or more of Apache Solr, Azure Search, Elasticsearch & Kibana. With experience of building Data Catalog using one or more of Apache Atlas, Azure Data Catalog (or similar 3rd party products)
* You must have a Microsoft Azure Big Data Architecture certification.
* You must have hands on experience in delivering solutions using the Azure Data Analytics platform
* You must have experience working in a Dev/Ops environment with tools such as Microsoft such as; Visual Studio Team Services, Chef, Puppet or Terraform
Highly Desired Skills
* Have at least 3-6 experience in building solutions using a variety of open source tools a Microsoft Azure services
* Proven track record in delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
