This will be a 12 month contract based in Brussels as an SQL DBA Specialist, with a rather quick turn-around.

You'll be responsible for the management, implementation, tuning, upgrade, administration and daily management of SQL Server databases and related development tools.

You'll work proactively and continuously on proposals to improve the performance of the databases.

You'll define in consultation with the developers and analysts standards on naming, ect ..

When setting up or modifying data models, you ensure that these are followed. You also carry out support activities and support the developers.

You'll are the contact person for all DB related questions and maintain documentation on installations, procedures and solutions. . Tasks / Assignments package:

* Install, configure, manage, support, monitor and troubleshoot MS SQL Server (2012 through 2017)

* Creation and planning of maintenance plans * Checking the daily SQL backups * Security on SQL level (SQL logins, SQL Audit ...) * Follow up on SQL related (SCOM) alerts * Configuration of SLA monitoring in Splunk

* Setting up Performance monitoring in Dynatrace

* SSRS and SSIS * Carry out and support project work

* Configure automatic SQL server rollout in SCCM.

* Patch management * Incident handling

Expected skills and experience:

* Minimum two years' experience with SQL server

* You'll possess a strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

* You can work independently, but you are also a team player.

* You are communicative and stress resistant.

* You work very accurately and in a structured way.

* You realize the importance of good documentation.
