A new opportunity has arisen for an EDA/CAD Support engineer to join a dynamic and growing company based in Cambridge, UK.

In this role you will be working on supporting design activities for the development of cutting-edge technology for medical applications. You will be tasked with setting up the Cadence design environment, manging design tools, installing PDKs and being the single point of contact in relation to troubling shooting and support with Cadence.

You will be responsible for setting up the IT infrastructure/server and its maintenance in a linux environment and setting up Cadence server for IC design and simulation.

The ideal applicant will be capable of doing Analog IC Layout but this would only be on an ad hoc basis and does not form the primary part of the position.

Industry degree qualified (or equivalent) the successful EDA Support Engineer will have established experience within a similar role. Being able to working independently and on your own initiative, you will work well within a team and be happy to get involved in a variety of tasks. Excellent proficiency with supporting design tools is essential. Experience in simple server/database/front end GUI development would be ideal.
