AWS Data Engineer/£400-£500/Surrey/Contract
Great opportunity for an experienced, full stack AWS Data Engineer. We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about data and how it can be used to build real value for the company.
The Role
The Data Solutions team are responsible for delivering the Management Information and Business Intelligence environment required to meet the needs of the business in a highly competitive and heavily regulated industry. This includes the evolution of our Data Warehouse estate to meet the challenges of an information centric world striving for ever more data to drive business decisions.
To work with the existing Data Platforms team to help develop the growing cloud based data lake, to support new data points captured using JSON via an AWS Kinesis data pipeline into S3 Buckets and then support the in-house Data Analysts to access data directly within the data lake rather than having to extract and transform the data first.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS Analytics Services, particularly Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Redshift as well as the core infrastructure services (Amazon S3, EC2, and VPC). Additional analytics tools will be advantageous, include, Tableau, Quicksight, SAS, any machine learning skills.
