Quantity Surveyor - West YorkshireDay Rate: Negotiable (£250 - £350 per day DOE)Contract length: 6 months + (very likely extensions)An exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has become available in the West Yorkshire area. The business is a main contractor and mainly specialise in the refurbishment / extensions and new builds of government buildings.RoleThe main focus of the role is to support the business with a variety of projects in and around West Yorkshire. You will be helping with tasks such as construction package formulation, procurement, and valuation / costing tasks.Requirements

'€¢Degree in Quantity Surveying (ideal but not essential)'€¢Ideally 10+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying but will be flexible for the right individual'€¢JCT contract knowledge (although this is not essential)'€¢Experience working on a government building / council projects'€¢Predominantly office based with the occasional visit to site'€¢Experienced with PSA schedule of rates'€¢Background in PPM's (Plan Preventive Maintenance) / Stock Condition Surveys'€¢Confident carrying out general QS duties'€¢Good communication skills and strong English capability

Day to Day role

'€¢Liaising with clients on project progress'€¢All Commercial duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work sections'€¢Compiling monthly reports
