Skills and requirements

You will need:

-experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team applying Scrum principles;

-good personal skills including, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

-excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties;

-the ability to motivate others and lead change;

-the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes;

-knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques including User Stories, Continuous Integration, Pairing, -Automated Testing, Agile Estimation

-comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle;

-a thorough understanding of the Agile approach and Scrum methodology;

-an appreciation of quality control;

-knowledge of .NET, MS SQL (preferable)

Main Job Purpose

Working closely with Product Owners, Release Manager and other key stakeholders, the Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that the Scrum team is performing to the highest level. A varied role, the Scrum Master will on different occasions be required to act as mentor, Agile coach, trouble-shooter and project manager.

Duties are as follows:

Your job will require you to:

-perform the role of the Scrum Master on various projects;

-communicate with the Product Owner to develop an understanding of product vision and strategy;

-understand user groups and their goals;

-have comprehensive understanding of each user story, including the requirement, user acceptance criteria and approach to QA

-ensure user stories are complete and up to the required standard;

-work closely with the Release Manager to deliver timely product releases;

-oversee the presentation of completed work at the end of each sprint;

-analyse the day-to-day performance of the Scrum teams and recommend enhancements to processes and procedures to improve quality or performance;

-removing any impediments to progress experienced by Scrum teams

-manage holiday requests and contribute to the staff appraisal process

-To preserve information security, report security breaches, in line with the Information Security Policy, and to act in accordance with the requirements of the Information Security Management System

Knowledge:

The successful candidate will have experience in at least one of these key areas:

-2 years as a Scrum Master, Project Manager or Team Lead

-knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques

-expert knowledge of SIP Telephony
