We are looking to engage with IT professionals who are seeking a new role as a IT Technician / Engineer to join our client in Witney, Oxfordshire. The IT Technician will be joining a well-established software company helping to provide internal 2nd line technical support. Ideally the Technical Support Analyst will have some commercial IT support experience and be a confident and clear communicator.

Ideally the IT Technician will have the following skill & experience:

                                                             Some commercial IT Support experience (Internal IT or outsource IT Support in 1st or 2nd line or helpdesk capacity) doing more than desktop support

                                                             Hardware and basic networking skills

                                                             Basic Knowledge (Can do basic administration) of servers (Active Directory and Windows server rolls and features)

                                                             Basic knowledge of networking and troubleshooting.

Good understanding, knowledge and experience of (can resolve most issues and set up):

                                                             Active Directory

                                                             File Sharing and file permissions

                                                             Windows Server Rolls and Features (DNS, DHCP, RAS, Hyper-V etc)

                                                             Microsoft Exchange Server

                                                             Microsoft Office 365

                                                             TCP/IP Networking

                                                             Virtualization with VMWare.

My client are based in Witney and is commutable from anywhere in Oxfordshire including; Abingdon, Bicester, Banbury, and Oxford. It is also easily commutable from parts of Wiltshire including Swindon and also Buckinghamshire (including High Wycombe, Buckingham, Aylesbury and Thame. There are also good transport links, particularly by bus.
