Administrative Assistant / Software Support

North London Full time

£25,000 p.a.

An enthusiastic Software Support Assistant is needed to join a rapidly growing specialist Fire Risk Assessment Team, based in Wood Green, North London. They are currently rolling out a bespoke web-based, fully integrated 'Actions Management' system for the Fire Risk Assessment industry.

Reporting to the Software Manager and Operations Director, the Support Assistant will handle customer support requests via phone, e-mail, voicemail and text from our four main clients. On a day-to-day basis, you would be expected to solve basic issues, supporting surveyors and clients and assisting the software support manager. You will also be expected to turn your hand to a number of other administrative tasks, depending on what is needed and who requires help.

To qualify you must have great customer repartee and excellent communication skills, as well as a willingness to learn, with an adaptable skillset and a basic understanding of problem-solving, troubleshooting and user acceptance testing in IT. As software development continues apace an eye for detail in testing and data quality assurance are equally necessary. Full training will be given.

- A clear thinker and strong communicator.

- Self-motivated and meticulous in your approach.

- Excellent in written and spoken English.

- Able to cover software support help desk in the manager's absence.

- Experience or aptitude to user acceptance testing.

Few roles can combine working within such a rewarding sector plus a diverse, varied and challenging position. Expect a welcoming environment where you will get exposure to a broad range of strategic issues, and work with a high performing team. The role would suit an ambitious IT-leaning graduate who is keen to learn everything about the workings of a young and dynamic company. A University degree is not a requirement, able and committed school leavers may also apply.

We offer competitive rates of pay along with:

- Excellent working conditions.

- In-house training and continuing professional development.

- Negotiated benefits.

- A lively and supportive team working with you.
