Infrastructure Engineer

One of our clients, a well known and international organisation, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to work with the IT Technical team to ensure that there is a continual improvement of servers, networks and overall IT effectiveness.

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to:

* Ensure company servers, data communications, network infrastructure and security systems are running smoothly and all proposed changes and enhancements are in line with agreed standards.

*Testing, configuration and set-up of new server systems and assist with the planning and deployment of server security and maintenance of existing anti-spam and anti-virus systems.

*Work with the Infrastructure team to suggest and make improvements to operating environments for performance improvements.

*Continual monitoring of websites with regard to performance and availability.

*Resolve issues speedily and permanently i.e. identifying single points of failure and recovery plans.

Infrastructure Engineers will ideally have exposure to:

*Supporting Windows servers 2008 - 2012, data networks and network troubleshooting.

*HP / Dell Server hardware .

*VMWARE, Windows Server, Exchange Server, Sql Server, MS Exchange, Cisco Networking Firewalls and Network Security
