Fight the changing face of terrorism

The current threat to the UK from terrorism is different to anything we have faced before. That’s why this role at The National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (NCTPHQ) is so vital. By delivering complex change programmes, you’ll help us respond to these constantly evolving threats, keeping the people of Britain safe both at home and abroad. Right now, we’re investing heavily in our change teams, making this an exciting time to join us.

NCTPHQ provides operational and support services to the Counter Terrorism policing network at a national level, including all Counter Terrorist and Protective Security Commands. Working with colleagues from within the police service, government and experts from private industry, you’ll help implement complex, interlinked programmes that deliver change for the better for UK Counter Terrorism Policing. In fact, you’ll have a direct influence on how the network operates in the future.

You’ll also be responsible for the day-to-day management of change across NCTPHQ and our Operations Centre teams. In practice, that means assessing the impact of change on staff, managing local readiness plans, and making sure everyone not only understands the changes that affect them, but is fully engaged with carrying them out.

You’ve got lots of experience managing business change, ideally working in the police, a security agency or a government environment. During that time, you’ve developed expertise in everything from change management tools and techniques to project planning and risk management. You’re an expert, too, in listening to diverse groups, understanding their needs and issues, and then delivering change solutions that achieve consensus and improve performance.

To apply, please visit our website by clicking the APPLY button to download a role specific information pack and click on the link to complete and submit the online application form. You will also be required to submit a detailed CV and a personal statement.

Completed applications must be submitted by 23.55pm on 19th July 2018.

We view diversity as fundamental to our success. To tackle today’s complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up from all of London’s communities. Applications from across the community are therefore essential.
