Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join our London City office as a Business Analyst/Project Manager on a permanent basis.

The role entails working on the rollout of a new state-of-the-art Commercial Broking platform around the business. The platform has already been piloted with one team, with the intention of deploying to further teams one-by-one.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work, and cares about delivering quality. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years’ experience as a business analyst, ideally with insurance knowledge. If your insurance knowledge includes commercial insurance and broking, that would be ideal.

You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to play a key role in a small delivery team.

Responsibilities

- Collating and defining the business requirements for the project, and translating these into user stories

- Assisting with design work

- Analysing and documenting business processes

- Running/facilitating of workshops

- Working with the software partner/supplier

- Providing day-to-day support to live users of the platform

- Prioritising and managing enhancements

- Resolution of defects

- Working with the offshore development team

- Assisting with, or owning, the design and execution of user acceptance test scenarios and test scripts.

- Contributing to and shaping sprint planning

Skills/Attributes

- Experience of the Insurance industry, preferably commercial.

- A proven track record in Software Development.

- Conscientious/thorough with an ambition to deliver quality software solutions.

- Able to organise, manage and prioritise own workload to ensure tight deadlines are met.

- Experienced in Agile with strong knowledge of user stories.

- Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Able to communicate at all levels: from CEO to End User.

- Able to facilitate stakeholder workshops and chair meetings efficiently.

- Able to play a significant role in a small team

- Dealing with ambiguity and turning it into something clear

- Experience of working with software suppliers

- Ability to be innovative

- SQL skills (desirable)

What We Offer

The salary and benefits relating to this role are as follows:

- Salary - up to £60,000

- Holiday - 22 days rising by 1 day per annum up to a maximum of 27 days

- Holiday purchase - You may, subject to not exceeding a maximum of 30 days holiday per annum, purchase up to 3 days additional holiday per annum (or the pro rata equivalent thereof for part time employees) subject to approval.
