A Front Office Algorithmic Application Support role has come available within a Tier 1 Investment Bank.

Working within their Front Office Algorithmic Application Support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability of client and server-based application processes and their associated infrastructure. Within the team you will be assisting users of applications by acting as a first point of contact and taking ownership over full life cycle of incident resolution. The successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of roles.

These will include (but are not limited to) proactive & reactive ready-for-business checks and real-time monitoring of processes, connections and trade flows. You will also be acting as an escalation point for frontline, investigating and resolving data quality issues and user queries, and system break/fix along with user recovery.

The right candidate for this position must be extremely technically proficient, but as this is a front office role you must also have first rate communication skills and business acumen. You should be able to provide evidence of a strong track record within Application.

Essential Requirements include:

Strong understanding of UNIX

Perl, Python

Deep understanding of trading concepts

An understanding of FIX (Financial Information Exchange)
