Quantity Surveyor - CheshireDay Rate: £200-£250Contract length: 3 months + (very likely extensions)Commutable from Warrington, Runcorn, Fordsham, Crewe, Macclesfield, Altrincham, Sale and surrounding locationsAn exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has become available in the Cheshire area. The business is a Sub Contractor and mainly specialise in the Civil Engineering and Utilities sector.RoleThe main focus of the role is to support the business with a variety of projects up to £1.2m worth in and around Cheshire area. You will be helping with tasks such as construction package formulation, procurement of sub-contractors, and valuation / costing tasks. Requirements
'€¢Degree in Quantity Surveying (ideal but not essential)'€¢Ideally 10+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying but will be flexible for the right individual'€¢Strong working knowledge of administering NEC forms of contracts'€¢Good communication skills and strong English capability'€¢Estimator experience'€¢Happy to be office based with the occasional visit to site'€¢Steel Fabrication knowledge / experience is desired but not essential
Day to Day role
'€¢Liaising with clients on project progress'€¢All Commercial duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work sections'€¢Compiling monthly reports
Rate
'€¢Competitive day rate of £200-£250'€¢3 months + duration
