UI Developer

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a UI Developer to join a fast-paced and dynamic environment with one of the UK's largest specialist retailers. This role is based in Watford, Hertfordshire and specifically focusses on working closely with the front-end and back-end development team to ensure the seamless execution across multiple devices and will greatly contribute to the continuous expansion of the company!

As the successful UI Developer, you will boast excellent design skills as well as expert experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and SASS. You will be working in a collaborative and close-knit team to execute all stages of design, from conception to delivery, therefore a cross-functional approach to working is essential!

We are looking for a UI Developer with a natural flair for coding, visual design and a creative mind, alongside experience with wireframe design, user stories and mock-up development.

Key skills and experience required for the UI Developer:

* Expert experience in JavaScript (ES6+) and SASS is essential.

* Excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally within small, close-knit teams.

* The following knowledge skillset/experience of any of the following is desirable but not essential: experience building and documenting a component library, TDD/BDD, UI and UX Design and an understanding of SEO.

* Design and development experience of wireframes, user stories and mock-ups.

* Excellent visual design skills, as proven by a strong portfolio.

* Experience working within an agile environment is preferable.

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
