Electronic Design Engineer developing analogue and digital electronics for low power embedded systems. You will be working with an innovative company who take an intelligent and scientific approach to electronics design.

Your work as an Electronic design engineer will be diverse in this role, working in areas such as the design and development of new sensors, designing low powered radio communications, working closely with software and data teams to work out how to transmit and process complex data from sensors and more.

Primarily your role will entail the design and development of analogue and digital electronics for several new products, you will however be working closely with firmware and software teams so any experience in these areas would be desirable.

Essential skills

It is essential for candidates to have experience in the following areas,

* Experience designing electronics for embedded systems, ideally using ARM Cortex M based Microcontrollers e.g. STM32

* A good level of familiarity with digital communications buses is expected (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN etc.)

* Experience of analogue and digital circuit design.

Desired Criteria:

While not essential it would be extremely desirable for candidates to have experience in some of the following areas.

* Experience of electronics design for low powered embedded systems

* Experience of design for power management.

* Experience of designs involving mobile communications, location devices (GPS) or low power radio systems (RF)

* Knowledge of sensor technology

* Experience of embedded C for Testing and prototyping

* Schematic Capture and PCB Design, ideally using Altium

* EMC design and test would be beneficial

* Experience of Design for Test (DfT) and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
