Database Manager - Senior Database Administrator

Our client, a well established market leading provider of global payment solutions are looking to add the expertise of an experienced MSSQL Database professional to their expanding database team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full MSSQL infrastructure and processes within the organisation.

Key technical experience required:

                               High availability databases (Microsoft failover cluster)

                               SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2017, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

                               Backup and recovery processes

                               Installation and patching of SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2017

                               Implementation of disaster recovery strategies (AlwaysOn Availability Groups, SQL Server mirroring)

                               Database monitoring and tuning

                               Knowledge on T-SQL dev

Key management responsibilities:

- Ensure quality of products delivered in his area.

- Act as a mentor and make sure that all people working in his team have all information they need to accomplish their tasks.

- Escalate any issues to his hierarchy and identify possible problems with employees.

- Accomplish the same tasks as his team members.

- Mandatory Duty rota for Production coverage.

- Preparation and scheduling of new developments.
