I am currently recruiting on behalf of the world leading IT consultancy to work at a major UK banking and finance institution that prides itself on innovation and utilising cutting edge technology to deliver the highest standards possible. This will be a contract role expected to be a minimum of 6 months and looking for candidates immediately available or within the coming weeks.

For this role a strong understanding and demonstrable experience with Java 8 is essential. the successful candidate will also need to be familiar with J2EE frameworks as standard and familiar within an Agile and Scrum environment.

In addition to this, the following skills would be ideal however not completely essential;

* Spring Boot

* Hibernate

* JSP/ Servlets

* Test Automation Cucumber, Selenium

* Cross-browser testing using Browser Stack or similar

* Javascript (Angular/Ionic/React/JQuery)

In this role you will have several responsibilities including but not limited to;

* Working closely with analysts, designers and product owners

* Producing detailed specifications

* Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues

* Write and unit test application code
