Permanent and 2 year fixed term appointments available

As a Project Planner in the Government Project Delivery Profession, you will sit at the heart of the project/programme and play a pivotal role in ensuring outcomes can be achieved.

The role of a Level 3 Planner is important because you will lead in the application of a structured approach to planning in projects or programmes at scale.

You will do this by working with the project/programme team, other planners and stakeholders, overseeing plans and schedules, challenging and testing project assumptions to ensure that plans and estimates that underpin them are realistic and achievable as the project/programme proceeds.

You’ll deliver advice and guidance to the project/programme leadership and their team(s) on how to best deliver the required outputs, products and activities to deliver the project/programme within the scope of the plan.

As a Level 3 Planner you will be assigned to projects/programmes that match your current skills, knowledge and experience.

To join us at this level you will need to demonstrate considerable experience of working as a Project Planner. This role comes with a real sense of responsibility on your shoulders. Alternatively, you may have gained excellent knowledge of Project Planning in another role within a project team or PMO. Or, you may have worked as a Project Manager or work stream lead of a small project or planning experience in a non-project environment.

Project delivery in Government is transforming, and we want you to be a part of it. The need for project management excellence at the heart of public policy delivery has never been more vital.

Closing date: 15 July 2018.
