One of the United Kingdom's leading engineering and energy consultancies is seeking a Regional Director to play an integral role in strengthening their delivery capability. Managing a team of specialist M&E Engineers and Energy Consultants, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation that offers real scope for future career development.

Scope of work

As Regional Director, you will be tasked with strengthening the delivery capability of one of the industry leaders in UK energy consulting, offering client's added-value in design and engineering support throughout the project delivery process. Managing a team of up to 12 specialist M&E Engineers and Energy Consultants, you will play an integral role in managing both the technical and financial aspect of projects.

The role of Regional Director will be a highly-client facing role, engaging in projects from concept right through to delivery. This will include liaising with customers to understand their requirements and engage in technical conversations with both the client and internal engineering teams to discuss engineering output. It is critical that you are able to deploy efficient time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met both on-time and to-budget.

Reporting into the Managing Director, it is important that you have a commercial focus and are able to prepare monthly invoices and financial forecast reports for the board. Through the relationships developed with customers throughout the management of projects, it is expected that as Regional Director, you'd be able to leverage these relationships to secure future work opportunities.

This role will involve regular travel approximately three days a week across the United Kingdom to visit projects and ensure they are being delivered on-time and to budget; the remaining time can be spent reporting into either the Greater Manchester or Northampton facilities, as per whichever is closer to commute to.

You will:

* Have technical design engineering experience across a number of decentralised energy applications including CHP, Boilers and District Energy Networks.

* Possess a technical engineering qualification, preferably across either mechanical or electrical disciplines

* Have management experience so as to lead a team of engineers, consultants and support staff

* Be able to commute to either the Manchester or Northampton facilities

* Be willing to travel to locations where projects are based.

The company

One of the UK's leading engineering and energy consultancies, this organisation are highly experienced in the design of critical infrastructure schemes covering CHP installations, renewable energy installations and new-build energy centres. They are well established in the market and are continuing to grow as an organisation.

Why apply?

The company is paying a basic salary of between £60,000-£70,000 with a company car, or car allowance, contributory pension, private health care and holidays of 25 days + 8 Stats.
