£40,000 + 10% Bonus

A career defining role has arose at a multinational enterprise in Newcastle to run IT operations across the globe with offices stretching from the USA through Central Europe and over to Australia you'll play a pivotal role in the IT Infrastructure and Operations team. In this exciting time of rapid global growth my client is looking to invest in an IT Operations Manager to lead and develop the EMEA and APAC IT Service.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Day-to-day running IT Service including the European IT Service Desk ensure a high and effective level of delivery

* Monitor, motivate and improve service teams against agreed KPI's to meet SLA's

* Take ownership of the Service Desk processes, ensuring change is record and implemented globally

* Develop and motivate 1st and 2nd Line support engineers ensure a high level of productivity

* Act as an escalation point providing 2nd and 3rd Line support when required

* Proactive resolves 3rd Line issues to guarantee problems do not reoccur

* Use market and IT knowledge to implement innovative initiatives for example, self service, to improve the overall IT Service.

* Responsible and have a good awareness of all IT Inventory

Experience & Qualifications required:

* 'Can Do' attitude is essential for this position.

* You'll need strong proven leadership skills with an ability to motivate, delegate and develop those who report into you.

* Experience running and developing a fast paced service desk

* Be a visionary - Assess current operations with a strategic mind

* Deigned, implemented and managed SLAs and KPI's.

* Outstanding communications and customer service skills.
