Home based role, Midlands and surrounding areas

Are you an experienced Project Manager from a utilities background (gas/electric/water) with experience of managing the design, installation and commissioning of utility networks offering autonomy and a high degree of future career progression?

The client is a growing utilities giant, who can offer an excellent flexible benefits scheme, stability and a dynamic, growing environment.

The position is responsible for managing the installation, testing commissioning of gas, water, fibre and electric mains, services, and associated equipment and meters. It is covering the midlands area and is focused on major projects.

The Role:

1.Developing and agreeing the design strategy with the designers including preferred points of connection and utility routes.

2.Liaising with the client during the contract finalisation and design stages, attending meetings and being the single point of contact for all aspects of the utilities/contract delivery.

3.Ensuring assets are constructed as designed and in a safe manner and recorded correctly

4.Project Management of Network construction including programming and material control

5.Monitoring of productivity and cost management in line with the expected costs of the Projects which you are responsible for

The Person:

1.Experience of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice relating to one of the following utilities; Gas, Electric or Water Distribution Systems

2.Experience in a Project Management position

3.Ideally one of the following; Authorising Engineer registration (gas), Senior Authorised Person (electric) or NCO3 (water) qualifications.

The role is home based and will cover a midlands patch
