Project Support Officer

Telford

£26,100 - Flexi time - Excellent pension

Have you ever wondered what it takes to support our armed forces?

My Client is a FTSE-100 Defence & Engineering organisation, is currently recruiting within their land division based in Telford, and are interested in hearing from candidates with project's experience.

You will be assisting the project management office (PMO) on a variety of high profile defence

contract's with the aim to create close relationships between the PMO and operational support

functions.

Responsibilities

* Build close working relationships with PMO and Operational support functions (e.g. Programme Managers, Project Managers, Planning, the Hub) to deliver a joined up service and effective project monitoring

* To support several projects concurrently when required, managing multiple stakeholders at various sites across To produce reports on project progress and performance to support management meetings (e.g. governance, internal, customer)

* To support development and maintenance of the project plans and schedules

* To monitor and track progress (cost, schedule and quality) against the Integrated Master Schedule and the project plan

* To support operational management at customer meetings and take minutes and/or actions as required

* To manage central SharePoint and data depositories including folder management, access and archiving

Requirements:

* Relevant qualification or experience.

* Strong IT knowledge.

Desirable:

* Competent and experienced in using MS Project

* Formal Project Management qualifications - PRICE2, APM
