Site Reliability Engineer SRE (Telemetry Go Python Linux Immutable Infrastructure Automation APM). Peer-to-Peer lending site that has facilitated over £3 billion in loans is seeking a technologist SRE to remove inefficiencies in the way the way the company use (or don't use) technology - with automation as key to this.

Daily activities as an SRE will include automating telemetry and application monitoring infrastructure to the multi-cloud environment; improving application release processes and pipelines; upgrades of container platforms to the latest version of Kubernetes as well as designing processes and tools to help developers to take more control of their products and the infrastructure required.

This is a senior, hands-on position in which you'll provide advice on best practice to users of the APM framework and monitoring solutions as well as plan, develop and test future releases of the APM (AppDynamcis) framework.

Requirements:

*Passionate technologist with a love of automation

*Good knowledge of at least one programming language, willing / able to dabble in others (Go, Ruby, Python, .NET)

*Cloud agnostic mentality; exposure to cloud IaaS (AWS, GCP or other relevant)

*Linux administration (CoreOS, Ubuntu); Linux containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad)

*Familiar with Immutable Infrastructure

*Good Knowledge on Hashicorp stack

*Shell scripting (Bash, Powershell)

*Good knowledge of building and maintaining Kafka clusters (mirroring Kafka across multiple datacentres)

*Knowledge of event streaming

*Ability to troubleshoot and tune performance

As a Site Reliability Engineer / SRE you will earn a competitive salary (to £140k; dependant on skillset and experience) plus bonus and benefits package.
