Storage (SAN) engineer / specialist

We require a storage engineer for a leading organisation based in Bradford to support BAU Storage activities and help deliver testing and migration from EMC to IBM storage.

Contract duration: 4 Months

Day Rate: £300.00 - £400

We require a storage (SAN) specialist with s strong storage background to capacity manage in a SAN environment.

You will also be responsible for identifying risks and providing storage commissioning and decommissioning existing an new systems.

As the storage specialist you will provide support for the new SAN testing and migration activities.

Your background:

You will have an extensive storage background (SAN) in EMC technologies: VPLEX, VMAX, VNX and recoverpoint CDP.

You will have a technical background in Windows OS specifically Failover clustering and shared storage. Fibre channel, brocade AND Gen 6 directors.

As a storage engineer you will have expertise in ESXi, IBM V9000, SVC and hyperswap.

You will have a background in following change controls, the ability to understand technical information and communicate this effectively.

Desirable:

Migration from EMC VPLEX to IBM V9000

MS Cluster SQL server

IBM Spectrum Protect, Spectrum Virtualise and Spectrum control understanding
