Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Learning Technologist for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of c.£175-£225/day (outside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Working with staff to facelift/re-design existing online courses within a tight timeframe.

* Working with staff to design and produce digital learning assets such as quizzes, videos and podcasts within agreed timescales.

* Actively supporting the project's aims and using initiative to help shape new digital learning design.

* Proactive contribution to the delivery of the VLE training, providing end user support to staff.

* Development of VLE training materials.

* Management and support of the Virtual Learning Environment for online content and courses.

* Engaging with colleagues throughout the organisation to share knowledge on technology and digital education.

Requirements:

* Experience of working with subject-matter experts to design innovative credit bearing online courses.

* Competent in the use of Virtual Learning Environments as course instructor, multimedia and web skills such as graphics knowledge and creation.

* Proven learning technologist experience.

* Good knowledge and understanding of relevant legal, statutory and governance applications and turning them into good practice such as accessibility, disability and copyright legislation for online learning.

* Experience of advising or supporting subject-matter experts in their use of learning technologies.

* Experience of constructing new courses within a Virtual Learning Environment.

* Excellent interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills, able to understand and communicate complex issues effectively.

* Experience of working closely with stakeholders across all levels.

* Ability to research, analyse and present complex information effectively with good attention to detail.
