Spring Technology is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer who can thrive in a busy project based environment, to be based in Birmingham on an initial 3 month contract, with potential to extend. Our client is undergoing a large amount of change currently, including large projects such as an impending datacentre move and the fight to obtain and maintain GDPR compliance. This particular role would be perfect for an engineer who has experience within a large data centre migration, or a data centre environment before.

Our client is looking to pay between £325-375 per day for this role, with a start date as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a great team in a business undergoing a key project with tight deadlines, as they work towards migrating to two new data centre locations. They are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer, to provide support and project based consultancy within the infrastructure changes needed for a smooth migration. This will be a diverse, hands on role, where you will work across teams to provide support and advice within the IT infrastructure. Our client has a diverse infrastructure mostly based on Windows servers, with some Linux, along with a range of VMware products, Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls are also used.

Essential Skills:

* Excellent history in infrastructure engineering, particularly on server side roles

* Windows 2003, 2008, 2012

* VMware ESXi, vCloud and VMware 5 & 6

* Exchange 2010 and Active Directory

* Knowledge of EMC Storage and SSL Certificates
