Role: Business Analyst (Spend Categorisation)

Location: London

Contract: 6 - 8 Months +

The role:

*Our leading client requires a Business / Data Analyst to assist with the delivery of the Procurement spend analysis sprints as allocated to the role as well as supporting projects for the client wide Spend Analysis project.

Direct responsibilities:

*Focus on the delivery of Sprints allocated to the role across numerous European locations

*Local engagement to ensure data files and ongoing extract scripts are available for the project and BAU in line with specifications

*Proposing business rules for the Spend Categorisation into the Category Tree

*Leading validation of the business rules with the local SMEs and subsequent corrections in the self-service tool

*Final validation of the classification and documenting the sign off

*Hypercare and transfer to BAU

*Ensuring integration and consistency of the existing Oracle-based spend analysis in the UK with the analysis for other systems and countries

*Local engagement and liaison as necessary to deliver the project

*Experience in delivery of a Procurement Spend Categorisation project working across diverse data sources

*Strong data extraction and manipulation skills

*Excellent written and spoken communication skills gained in an international environment

*Experience working in a mature data environment

*SQL skills

*Project experience of at least one major project within Data Management / Analysis, ideally a Procurement Spend Classification project

Essential experience for the role:

*Spend Analysis experience

*Data analysis experience - evidence of good skillset

*Occasional (Monthly) European travel to be expected

*Multilingual candidate would be advantageous
