SAMS is a world class marine research organisation, based in NW Argyll, with a global portfolio of high-quality fundamental and applied research and enterprise interests.

An important strand of activity is in developing computer models of the marine environment incorporating physical, chemical and ecological processes.

We seek an experienced professional Java Developer to work with our research scientists to lead software development across a range of applications, particularly in environmental numerical modelling.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who also has some experience of working in an Agile environment supporting modelling applications.

We are particularly keen to attract a dynamic individual who will enjoy interacting with a wide range of scientists on diverse scientific applications.
