SAMS is a world class marine research organisation, based in NW Argyll, with a global portfolio of high-quality fundamental and applied research and enterprise interests.

An important strand of activity is in developing computer models of the marine environment incorporating physical, chemical and ecological processes.

We seek a talented Java Developer to work with our research scientists and other developers to create software across a range of applications, particularly in environmental numerical modelling.

We believe that the post will suit a recently-qualified, highly-motivated developer, but we are very open to more senior candidates.

We are particularly keen to attract a dynamic individual who will enjoy interacting with a wide range of scientists on diverse scientific applications.
