Excellent opportunity for someone from a senior higher education background to join a successful and well-established University offering a significant position within the institution, as well as providing chartered development opportunities and long term progression into head of relations and marketing.

Established in the 1800's this well-known institution of higher learning specialise in the continuous development of their students. Due to a recent departure there is now an opportunity for an ambitious and strategic Associate Director to head up the development of their communications, marketing and student recruitment departments.

In this role you will be working closely with and supporting the current Director. You will be responsible for key University functions, implicating new strategies and operations to improve/develop communications between corporate public and alumni relations. The role also requires you to advance their UK and international marketing approaches to expand their student outreach.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in higher education and must be qualified to degree level. Project management experience and strong communication/marketing abilities are required to oversee and improve the performance of all the essential departments. If you're a member of the chartered institute of public relations or marketing this would be advantageous.

The Role:

*Improve and develop public relations.

*Implement new marketing channels and strategies.

*Develop approaches for student outreach and recruitment internationally and within the UK.

*Oversee and project manage all of the above operations.

The Person:

*Significant experience working in higher education.

*Qualified at degree level.

*Strong marketing and communication skillset.

*Project Management experience.

*A member of the CIPR / CIM would be advantageous.
