As a Junior Applications Lead engineer, you are primarily responsible for supporting the customer facing and internal applications services. This is achieved by performing software configuration work and database operations work and assisting with the design and optimization of the deployment process to test and production systems. This position will work closely with the Software Engineering team to optimize performance and security on their public web infrastructure, and with the Architects and Software Development teams to trouble shoot and diagnose root cause of issues as they occur in production.

To succeed:

* You should be able to demonstrate Linux platform experience with things like CentOS, Redhat and Ubuntu

* Nice to have ITIL Foundation certificate or knowledge

* Worthy knowledge of AWS services and solutions

* Have an understanding of SQL database technologies (MySql, NoSQL, MongoDB)

* Nice to have an understanding of PHP/Python

* Nice to have knowledge of CI Tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible)

Some of the tasks will be:

* Third line application support & dedicated maintenance

* Engage in detailed investigations through testing to ensure performance, availability and stability

* Implement solutions for disaster and document recovery.

* solving problem Incidents on Linux systems, along with security related activities - system hardening, patching, mitigation and vulnerability threat management.

* Investigate dedicatedly and oversee resolutions for potential actual service problems.
