Architect (Infrastructure) - SAP Platform & Backend Solutions

Job Purpose:

* This position will design and implement solutions within the SAP Platforms and back end solution projects

Main Responsibilities

* Define corporate-wide standards and adapt global standards of assigned areas of the team portfolio in coordination with the solution architect and the lead of the respective domain

* Manage external providers technically in designing and implementing solution architectures and concepts

* Design and implement solution architectures and concepts in the context of projects

* Plan development of platforms and infrastructure

* Lead projects of delimited IT-solutions with impact on few departments and less than 15 man-days effort

* Consult and support other divisions within solutions delivery in application integration and development

* Implement projects in close collaboration with other stakeholders (strategic business solutions, solution delivery, service delivery, business departments)

* Create necessary project documentation and transfer operation manuals

* Provide 3rd level support within the organizational unit

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree in informatics, business informatics, electrical engineering or similar is required, master degree is welcomed

* Professional qualifications (like ITIL, PMI/Prince2, TOGAF), but not required

* Excellent knowledge of logistic and retail business processes

Experience:

* A minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in similar position

* Proven experience in infrastructure solution implementation

* Experience in scripting

* Vendor certification in focus topic

* Proven experience in analysis and design of infrastructure solutions

* Proven experience in fundamental infrastructure and hardware security standards

* Proven experience in relevant process standards (e.g. ITIL)

* Proven experience in assessment of implementation efforts and economic efficiency

Technical Skills:

* Knowledge of architecting infrastructure

* Landscape Planning, Definition, development, maintenance, communication and ongoing governance of the technology roadmaps and target architectures aligned to the business strategy as well as new SAP releases.

Relevant Experience on any ONE or more areas from below

* Expert level skills and experience on Infrastructure backend components relevant to Infrastructure and applications covering Storage, Operating systems, Database, Virtualization, Network areas. Expert level skills and experience on backend solutions related to SAP environment such as Backup, Archiving, Document management, Printing and tools

* Strong SAP Platform, SAP BASIS and technical background relevant to Infrastructure for strategic SAP projects. Strong Technical knowledge, relevant experience & Architectural knowledge of following

* SAP technologies , core and new products, roadmaps and strategy

* Database ( including in-memory), Operating System, Virtualization and related components

* SAP Netweaver & SAP Java based products

* Maintain a broad Technical, relevant experience & Architecture knowledge of the following technologies:

* SAP products like ECC, APO, eWM, MII, PI/PO, Portal, BI, BOBJ, Solution Manager and others

* SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SaaS products from SAP (Ariba, Success factor etc.)

* Backend tools related to SAP Platform including Backup, Archiving, Document management

* SAP Upgrade, Unicode conversion, migration, cloud technologies
