The Role:

You will be collaborating with my client who are an Amazon AWS Tier 1 partner and are delivering a huge cloud adoption programme for financial services client with AWS using the latest technology including Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Datadog, Jira, Bitbucket etc. A passion for AWS, client service, and automation is a must.

Essential

* Hands-on Python, with AWS infrastructure

* Understanding of software development best practises including testing and version control

* Ansible scripts & modules

* Terraform based provisioning (primarily with AWS)

Would like to see

* Hands-on development experience with Linux scripting languages

* 3+ years proven AWS experience with excellent AWS networking and security features and services.

* Development and configuration of AWS Lambda functions in Python with API Gateway

* 3+ years within an Agile environment

* Strong understanding of CI/CD and associated tools (Jenkins / GO CD/ Circle CI etc.)

* Excellent DevOps and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques, including Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation.

* Knowledge of application and system monitoring like ELK stack and other SAAS tools like Splunk, Loggly.

* Experienced in full automation and configuration management like Ansible (preferred), Chef, Puppet, Packer.

* Proven ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools

Desirable

* AWS security and compliance development

* Experienced in running and troubleshooting micro-services environments using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, in HA production environments

* AWS Associate/Professional level certification

This would suit someone with the ability to consult the end client on industry best practices. You will have the autonomy to deliver the project your way but collaborating closely with Architects and Project Managers.
