I am currently recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to work with one of the UK's leading banks in Edinburgh

This Business Analyst is required to support one of the BCBS239 Workstreams to deliver its objectives within mandatory timescales

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as subject matter expert and a point of reference for CBR in order to minimise risks to our data

* Lead the preparation of data lineage documentation from source through to use

* Identify enhancement opportunities to processes, working practices and systems in order to

* achieve operational improvement / simplification

* Lead the preparation of data quality orientated reports, including providing any relevant

* Recommendations for improvement or risk mitigation

* Lead the analysis of CBR data, making recommendations for improvement as necessary to

* enhance the effective reporting, management or quality of this data

* Support the ongoing activities relating to compliance as required, e.g. External Data Principles

* (BCBS 239), Internal Data Principles

Skills & Responsibilities:

* You'll be focused, pragmatic and solution-orientated with the ability to deliver in terms of both time and quality

* You'll have the ability to establish priorities and work independently, using own initiative to deliver to challenging targets within a team environment

* You'll have attention to detail and the ability to escalate issues in a timely manner

* You'll enjoy interacting at all levels and across different audiences and have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

* Good data analysis, interpretation and analysis

* Document Data Lineage for critical risk data attributes

* Understand Data Quality Issue management, including providing recommendations to re-mediate

* Ownership, flexible approach to delivery and to timescale

* Understand and articulate risk and control frameworks

* Provide SME advice and robust challenge to change initiatives which impact CBR data, systems and processes

* Identify operational inefficiencies and drive performance/data quality improvements

* Excellent stakeholder management skills

* Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal
