I am currently recruiting for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a global business based in South Wales. You will be working in a team of highly skilled R+D Engineers which include Electronics, Firmware, Mechanical and Process Engineers. Working in the business as an Embedded Software Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of the embedded software design and will be developing the design right through from concept all the way through to production.

You will be working on developing and manufacturing dedicated systems that allow electronics & software devices, both analogue & digital, to communicate through both conventional and new technologies. This company worked with a number of different industry's too so it is a chance for you to work on a number of both new and existing, exciting projects!

Key skills needed for this role include:

* Embedded Linux is essential

* Embedded C is also essential

* Knowledge of Electronics

* Over 5 years industry experience

* Experience working with the full product lifecycle

* Programming in a real time environment

* Serial communications - RS232, RS485, USB & Bluetooth.

* Knowledge of CANbus, CANOpen, MODBus or other process communication protocols.

* Experience working with ARM or PIC processors
