Application Support / Data Analyst / BI Analyst / SQL / BI / QlikView / 40k to 50k / Guernsey / 5 year local license available
My client, a leading Financial Services organisation are currently recruiting for an experienced Application Support Analyst / Data Analyst to join them on a permanent basis in their St Peter Port (Guernsey) based office.
Please note the role is open to local candidates and also candidates that are willing / looking to relocate to Guernsey; a 5 year local housing license will be given.
Key responsibilities of function:
The BI Support Analyst will be responsible for the following:
*Provide business and technical support to the Data Warehouse team and its associated systems:
*Receiving / logging support calls and issues
*Analysing problems, including root cause analysis
*Communication with other system support teams
*Defining possible solutions/ rectification
*Liaising with 3rd party Suppliers for system changes
*Development & Enhancement of BI & MI based solutions to support business decisions, utilising QlikView as development tool of choice.
*System, Functional and Integration Testing to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and production
*Provide support/input for strategic decision to enable the continuous enhancement of the system
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
*Production Support/Development experience or similar
*Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
*Customer service skills
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
*Delivery and quality focused
*Willing and able to adapt to new technologies.
*Appreciation of complimentary disciplines (eg programming, database administration)
*Experience of utilising SQL
*Experience of structured testing
*Experience of BI & MI tools, preferable QlikView
Desirable:
*Financial Sector experience

*40-50k salary
