SharePoint Developer

SharePoint Developer / Office 365 / Azure / PowerShell / Permanent / Warwickshire

My award winning, nationally recognised client based is looking for an experienced SharePoint Developer to join their growing IT Team at their Head Office in Warwickshire.

The SharePoint Developer will work as part of the Technology Adoption team, who are responsible for managing the Office 365 platform which includes an active project to deliver SharePoint Online to the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key technical role in the ensuring the Office 365 tenant and products are technically supported, managed and optimised.

Key responsibilities:

*Understand and interpret IT system requirements in collaboration with team members to ensure that they provide sufficient clarity to enable the production of technical development estimates and effective IT system development.

*Review and understand end-to-end technical system designs in order to recommend changes to applications and products within area of responsibility, collaborating with team members as required to ensure that the final IT solution is fit for purpose and meets the agreed system requirements.

*Configure, develop, unit test and integrate technical code changes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required, to build technical solutions to agreed estimates, time and quality requirements.

*Document and verify the handover of software into business-as-usual (BAU) operation and assist or coordinate the resolution of live technical incidents and system problems as and when required, in accordance with the ITIL framework.

*Evaluate and apply new technical tools, processes and technical developments to promote continuous improvement in quality and efficiency standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key skills and experience required:

*Experience in managing, administrating and developing solutions in SharePoint Online.

*Advanced PowerShell scripting to support SharePoint / Office 365 administration.

*Proficient user of SharePoint Designer for workflow creation

*Experience in the use of SharePoint administration tooling for environment management and content migration

*Good working knowledge of the wider Office 365 and Azure platform, to include OneDrive for Business, Azure Information Protection and Security & Compliance workloads e.g. Data Loss Prevention and Retention

*Good interpersonal and collaboration skills

*Experience of ITIL based service and operations management, process, tools and systems.
