Data Architect

Salary Up To £75,000 + car or car allowance + annual bonus + 28 days holidays + other benefits

Data Architect required to join the Enterprise Architecture Team of this nationally recognised organisation, who is currently experiencing significant growth. As a Data Architect you will be responsible for working with the wider EA team and business to ensure data is designed and managed to serve the needs of the business.

What this role will involve

Your role will report to the Data & Information Architecture Manager and will be responsible for the design and development of enterprise data & information architectures that integrate with business process architectures to maximise the effectiveness of business activities.

The architectures and designs delivered by this role will enable the delivery of strategic business capabilities, defined through the Enterprise Architecture function, while providing support and guidance in the delivery of tactical solutions.

Key accountabilities

The Data Architect is accountable for the architectural and "big picture" oversight for the design and implementation of data related decisions and adherence to the data & information principles.

You will define and implement enterprise data & information models , such that they form an essential part of the decision making process across the architecture and design functions.

Ensure all data related risks and opportunities at an enterprise level are understood and the implications managed through robust data and process designs.

Required Skills

*Proven track record of large scale IT solution design and delivery undertaking a senior architectural role, in a data & information architecture capacity.

*Significant experience interpreting complex business requirements.

*Detailed knowledge of data and information architectures and technologies.

*Detailed understanding of conceptual and logical data models and their creations and use in a large organisation.

*Knowledge of business process management principles.

*Understanding of architectural roles, domains, methodologies and design strategies.

*Experience of undertaking leadership for a team of senior architectural and design roles, providing direction and influence to ensure completion of activities.
