Telephony Architect

Permanent position based in Swansea - £49,835 - £60,649 + you may be eligible to receive an allowance of up to £15,000 depending on skills and experience

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Telephony Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. You will be responsible for helping to maintain the reference architecture for the DVLA and developing a telephony / Unified communications strategy to support our modern workplace, business and call centre initiatives, using agile methodologies.

Our goal is to future-proof our business as much as possible through the efficient development, recruitment and deployment of talent.

You will be responsible for communicating effectively with highly technical people and be at the forefront of setting strategic direction.

Person Overview

You will have a technical background and have experience of large-scale telephony delivery using agile methodologies. It would be great if you had experience of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF. You will be professionally curious taking an interest in the wider community and always looking for the next big thing. You will be a strong advocate for continuous professional development and be an ambassador for changing the culture across government.

Skills & Experiences

* Experience in an enterprise architecture role.

* Experience in the telephony industry, preferably in delivering call centre and corporate telephony solutions.

* Demonstrable experience of working within a large-scale Telecom/IT environment, ideally in an organisation where you architected a modern call centre telephony service.

* It is essential you have experience of cloud PBX/telephony services and unified communications (such as integration with Office 365)

* Knowledge of Nuance Conversational Interactive Voice Response (IVR) services to support human-like interactions that allow individuals to self-serve.

* Proven experience using agile methodologies

* Previous work covering data privacy, covering compliance with Data Protection and GDPR legislation, and a strong data security model

* Experience of application and telephony integration (CTI)
