Senior Software Engineer - C#
Cambridge
Salary is negotiable, depending on level of experience
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (C#) to join a growing team working on new smart technology. You will play a significant role in a highly skilled team, prioritising activities, balancing long and short-term objectives and finding efficient ways to solve problems which enhance the company products and productivity.
The main duties of the Senior C# Software Engineer will be to specify, develop, and evaluate test and production solutions that drive the technology, and lead the rollout of these within the company and to external development partners. You will Also be involved in developing and improving the test and development systems as well as Interfacing with the company performance and electronics engineers to understand their requirements and to deliver applications and tools that meet their needs.
Skills and experience required for this post of Senior Software Engineer:
* Degree in Computer Science or other relevant degree course
* 5 years' demonstrable industrial/commercial experience
* Application development for Windows
* C# development
* Writing specifications
* Designing to requirement specifications
* Creating technical documentation
* Defect tracking and code review
It would be beneficial but not essential if you had any of these skills:
* Automated test system development
* Host-side control of embedded devices
* Real-time data capture and system control (preferably in a Windows environment)
* Understanding of electronic & mechanical test systems
* Understanding of device-to-device communications protocols
* C++ experience
* Scripting languages (e.g. Python)
* Version Control
* Continuous Integration
* Unit testing
